Sending a notice

A notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for you.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
3. Identification of the photo or video you want removed, with enough information for us to find it: the name or email of the member who added it or the household's name, roughly when it was added, and what it shows.
4. Your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

What we do with a notice

We check that the notice has everything above. If it does not, we tell you what is missing. When it is complete, we hide the content promptly, usually within two business days, and send a copy of your notice, including your name and contact details, to the member who uploaded it. That member can send a counter-notice.

Counter-notices

If your content was hidden after a notice and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice. It must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the photo or video that was hidden and where it appeared before it was hidden.
3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the content was hidden as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, postal address, and telephone number.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is located, or of any district where Little Boat LLC may be found if your address is outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.

Send it to the same address with the subject "Copyright counter-notice", or use the link below. We forward your counter-notice, including your name and contact details, to the person who sent the notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action to keep the content down, we restore it between 10 and 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We suspend an account after two valid notices about its uploads within twelve months and terminate it after a third, unless a counter-notice resolves a notice in the member's favor.

False statements

A notice or counter-notice that knowingly misrepresents the facts can make you liable for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA.
